atsec would like to proudly announce participation in a Swedish research project funded by Vinnova – CEST (Confidential Evaluation of Software Trustworthiness).

The CEST project aims to develop a confidential assurance environment that will allow independent 3rd party evaluators (regulators) to conduct software security analysis of vendor proprietary (sensitive) software, while preserving the confidentiality of the analyzed software.

The project consortium is formed by four strong partners with individual backgrounds, Ericsson – a multinational networking and telecommunications company as the need owner, Hyker Security – an expert in confidential computing development, RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) – a Swedish state-owned research institute with a cybersecurity focus, atsec – an independent information security assessment, testing and evaluation facility with more than 20 years of experience.

The project partners Ericsson, Hyker and RISE aim to research and develop a prototype environment and methodologies for confidential software assurance, while atsec complements the team with years of expertise and know-how on performing various security evaluations. It is addressed by leading the security assurance tracks in this project conducting the studies that will specify the assurance environment to be constructing, defining the test use case and their execution.

More information will be released during the course of the project.
